About Us

Founded in 2021, Bake Venue started as an online and pop-up style bakery focused on producing Filipino-inspired baked goods and bread. Family owned and operated, they've been committed to serving customers in Calgary and area through their online shop and farmer's market events. Bake Venue officially opened their first shop and café in 2023.

Baking and cooking have been a part of Filipino culinary tradition. Growing up in the Philippines, owner and certified cake designer, Krystel de Luna, remembered how she would go and buy different kinds of baked goods as merienda (afternoon snack) for her and her family to share. Even after migrating to Canada, their family continues the tradition of big gatherings and sharing food to try new flavors with extended families. They believe that visiting a bakery should always be an experience. Eating your favorite pastries or discovering something new is best spent with a family or friend.
